Window Treatments In Wayland

Between the ponds, the woods, and a serious stock of mid-century homes, Wayland windows are big and beautiful, and most of them came with nothing on them. We fix the summer heat and the afternoon glare without giving up the view you bought the house for.

Keep The View, Lose The Heat And Glare

Wayland's mid-century modern and contemporary homes were designed around glass: living rooms that open to the yard, clerestory rows under the roofline, and sliders everywhere. The architecture is wonderful, and in July the heat load that comes with it is not. Shading that works with the design instead of hiding it is the answer.

Solar roller shades are our most recommended product here. From inside, they work like a fine screen: the glare is gone, colors stay true, and the view stays. On long runs we recommend motorization, so every shade sits at the same height with one button press.

For bedrooms we add room darkening options, and for the drafty original panes some of these houses still carry, cellular shades quietly cut the winter chill. All of it is measured and installed by Kevin, the owner, who has fitted every window shape Wayland can offer.

Wayland Questions

What Wayland Homeowners Ask Us

Will shades block my view of the water?

Not if we choose the right openness factor. Solar fabrics come in grades, and we bring samples so you can hold them up against your actual view before deciding.

Can you do trapezoid and clerestory windows?

Yes. Odd shapes get templated individually. Fixed panels for pure angles, and motorized shades where you want the light to change with the day.

What about fading floors and furniture?

UV does real damage to wood floors and upholstery, and glassy rooms take the worst of it. Solar shades block the majority of UV even while you keep the view, which protects your furniture for years to come.
