From Mill Windows To Walkout Glass
Downtown Hudson's older homes carry tall, narrow windows from the mill years, handsome and a little drafty. Out toward the lake and the newer neighborhoods, the story is sliders, bay windows, and walkout basements cut into the hills. Two very different window problems, one town.
For the older stock, individually measured cellular shades warm up original glass and fit openings that stopped being square decades ago. The family neighborhoods need the daily drivers instead, so there we install cordless rollers in the bedrooms, verticals on the slider, and room darkening shades where someone sleeps during the day.
Every consultation is with Kevin, the owner. He measures, quotes on the spot, and installs personally, which is why the fit and finish come out the same on a hundred year old window and a brand new one.
